Amazing Vinhais

Hello everyone. More of my latest travelling. I went to Vinhais, a fantastic place here in Portugal. Many things amazed me there, but the most amazing thing was definitely the landscapes, oh and also the 25 meters pool. I also got to see pigs, and some of them had just born the day before which was very cool. I was very lucky to see pigs that young, with a day of age. I hope you enjoyed, my next trip is to Ibiza and I will have plenty of photos from there to show you guys.

Olá a todos. Para descomprimir antes dos exames fiz uma pequena viagem até vinhais, um lugar magnífico aqui no norte de Portugal. A coisa que mais me empressionou foi as paisagens lindíssimas que se estendiam p'ra lá daquilo que podiamos ver, ah e a magnífica piscina de 25 metros que eu aproveitei muito bem. Fui até uma quinta onda havia porcos e vi porcos com 1 dia de idade, fui um sortudo por ver porquinhos assim tão novinhos. Espero que gostem das fotos, a minha próxima viagem é para ibiza e dessa vou ter muitas, muitas fotos.

Streetwear clothing: Bape & mischka

Tenho andado a ver imensa roupa do género streetwear, muito por culpa do meu youtuber de moda masculina favorita, o ALWAYS FRESH APPAREL. As marcas deste género que se encontram neste post são da bape e da mischhka duas marcas muito conhecidas no meio que até já colaboraram com marcas como a adidas. Acho que esta roupa é realmente engraçada e divertida de combinar, todas as peças têm um toque de excentrecidade. Até já fiz algumas comprinhas online de algumas marcas de streetwear, que vos mostrarei em breve num video, inspirado pelo youtuber que já falei aqui.

I have been obecessed with streetwear clothing. All of that is my favorite man's fashion youtuber ever, ALWAYS FRESH APPAREL. Click the link to check him up. He has got the most insane videos ever. He is very passioned by clothing and that's what I love the most about him. Because of him I have been really into the above brands, Bape and mischka which are very know, one of them as even collaborated with adidas which is pretty cool. I think that streetwear clothing is fun, fun to pair and has an excentric touch to it which I am found of. I have even bought some pieces that I will show you soon in a video, yes you read it right, in a video. Can you guess what kind of streetwear piece have I bought?

Sintra

Há lugares no nosso país que nós não conhecemos e que têm um beleza enorme. Caso disso é Sintra. Era minha desconhecida até à alguns dias atrás. Felizmente já não é mais. Agora conheço um pouco da sua beleza, paisagens naturais combinadas com edificios de uma beleza que só vista. Romântica é a palavra que melhor descreve esta cidade, e percorrer estas ruas fez-me sentir como num romance preenchido por emoções. Adorei lá estar e fotografei tudinho para poder partilhar com vocês. Sei que tenho estado ausente e isso em breve acabará, peço só que tenham um bocadinho de paciência, terminei agora todos os testes intermédios e tenho exames daqui a um mês. Por agora escreverei ocasionalmente.

There are beautiful places in our own countries that we aren't aware of. In my country there is this place called Sintra which I didn't know until a few days ago. I was so lucky to go there and find out about this place and all its beauty. Sintra has an amazing landscape between mountains, and it's full of historical buildings which are very romantic. Walking in those streets made me feel like I was in a romance, an award deserving one. Of course I had to take my camera to snap everything so I could share with you. I haven't been very active and I blame it on the itermediate test and on the exams which are less than a month away. I will be here more often this week since I don't have as much pressure as I had the past weeks.

Men Shoes for Spring 13

Queria pedir desculpa pela minha ausência mas com todos os testes intermédios que tenho tido e com os exames daqui a uns meses não vou conseguir dedicar tanto tempo para o blog. Só daqui a dois mêses é que serei tão ativo quanto era antes, ou até mais, eu prometo. Hoje tentei escrever alguns post para postar durante os próximos dias começando com este. Trago-vos o que eu acho que serão as sapatilhas mais badaladas do verão. São todas leves e simples com cores que nos fazem lembrar o mar e a praia. São todos simples e fáceis de usar, basta umas calças, ou de ganga ou chinos com uma t-shirt básica e temos um conjunto maravilhoso.

I wanted to apologize for my absence but with all intermedium tests I have had and with the exams in a few months I can not devote as much time to blog. Only in two months I will be as active as I was before, or even more, I promise. Today I tried to write some post to post during the next few days starting with this. I bring you what I think are the hottest shoes of the summer. They are all light and simple with colors that remind us of the sea and the beach. They are all simple and easy to use, just pants, either jeans or chinos with a basic T-Shirt and you'll get an awesome result.

Get the spring look: Woman

 Escolher o que usar no começo de primavera é muitas vezes difícil por isso eu decidi dar uma mãozinha e dar alguns conselhos sobre o assunto. Um look primaveril tem que mostrar mais pele que um look de inverno portanto usem calções, saias e casacos com mangas pouco compridas e usem também maiores decotes (sem exageros). E sim, usem casaco pois os dias que se avizinham serão quentes mas de vez em quando a chuva ainda aparece e nem sempre está calor todo o dia portanto é importante ter um aconchego para durante o dia. Como camisola usem algo leve, muito leve. Para os pés comecem por deixar as botas de lado lentamente. Esses são os meus melhores conselhos para esta época.

Choosing what to wear in the early spring is often difficult so I decided to lend a hand and give some advice on the subject. A spring look has to show more skin than a winter look so wear shorts, skirts and jackets with short sleeves and use shirt with lower necklines (no exaggeration). And yes, wear jacket, even though the days ahead will be warm, occasionally  will still appear rain. Remember it isn't hot all day so it is important to have a shelter during the day. You should also wear a t-shirt or a shirt something light, very light. For your feet use sneakers, cut-out-boots and heels. But try and stop wearing your wintery looking boots, start slowly until you stop at all. These are my best advice for this season. If you have any others tell me!

Se eu tivesse fundos ilimitados para preencher o meu roupeiro com roupas do site Mr.Porter, que vende apenas roupa masculina dos melhores designers mundiais, quais escolheria? Pois bem, iria escolher de certeza algumas roupas das minhas marcas favoritas que são: Acne, Marc Jacobs, J,Crew, Kenzo. Infelizmente o Mr.Porter não vende roupa do Kenzo, e apenas tem peças da linha mais jovem do Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, por isso entrou na minha lista uma peça da acne e outra do J.Crew, um casaco de pele e uns calções respectivamente. Depois de escolher algumas peças dos meus designers favoritos escolheria alguns básicos como é o caso das camisas na minha lista em cima, que são da Levi's e da Rag&Bone. Também um básico é a sweater da consagrada marca, Maison Martin Margiela. Por fim escolheria uma peça tendência, o caso do bomber jacket com um toque desportivo da marca Sandro. Já agora o que vocês escolheriam?

If I had unlimited funds to fill my wardrobe with clothes from Mr.Porter, a site that sells only the finest menswears pieces in the world, which would I choose? Well, I would certainly choose some clothes from my favorite brands, which are: Acne, Marc Jacobs, J. Crew, Kenzo. Unfortunately Mr.Porter doesn't sell clothing from Kenzo, and has only Marc Jacobs juvenil brand, Marc by Marc Jacobs, so I added to my list a piece of acne and another from J.Crew, a leader coat and shorts respectively. After choosing a few pieces of my favorite designers I looked for some basic as is the case of the shirts in my list above, which are Levi's and Rag & Bone. Also a basic sweater from the consecrated brand, Maison Martin Margiela. Finally I choose a trendy piece, that's the case of the bomber jacket with a sporty vibe from the brand Sandro. By the way what would you choose?

Instagramming: March

 Comecei este mês a usar o instagram e estou a adorar. É tão bom fotografar e editar em movimento todos os momentos divertidos que acontecem quando não temos a câmara fotográfica à mão. Claro que caí em cliché e fotografei excessivamente comida, e só coisas boas, e deliciosas. Podem vê-las na primeira fila. Já na segunda temos pedacinhos dos meus looks, um deles postei aqui no blog o outro não. E finalmente na última fila de imagens temos 2 fotos que não têm uma ligação entre elas, o meu perfume Lacoste que infelizmente está quase a acabar, e a séria que eu tenho visto exaustivamente, "Vampire Diaries"

I started using instagram only this month, and not even in the beggining. I like this app so much because we can shoot and edit on the go, the funniest moments that happen when don't have our camera near. Of course I did the most cliché thing, I instagrammed food. You can see some of the delicious food I snapped on the first row of this set of pictures. Then on the second one you've got some bits of my outftis, the one on the left you haven't seen but the one on the right has appeared on the blog already. In the last row of photos we have no theme, they are kind of random, first my Laconste perfume which is ending, and then, the "Vampire Diaries" series.

Garance Doré on video

Um dos blogs que tem merecido mais a minha atenção nos últimos tempos tem sido o blog da Garance Doré- e poderia complentar isto dizendo que ela é mulher do scott schuman, mas ela tem mérito próprio, portanto não o farei. Eu acho que ela tem um estilo descontraido e é esse mesmo o estilo do blog, além disso tem uma pitada de humor que eu adoro porque quando estou a ler um blog sabe sempre bem dar uma gargalhada, e sorrir. Isso tudo melhora em vídeo, e este é um dos que eu mais adoro. A Garance tem vários segmentos em videos, e atualiza-os com frequência portanto para além deste à muitos mais para ver. Vejam este pois vão adorar.

One of the blogs I have the most in the last couple os weeks has been Garance Doré. If you haven't read it ever I advise you to. She has a very nice sense of humor that is easily seen in all the post, and on the photos. She is also very laid back which for me is a total plus. When I read her blog I laugh, I smile, I enjoy reading it. That doesn't happen with many blogs. But she has this extra thing to her, she does videos. Videos that will also make you laught- they are extraordinary. I can't stop watching them. I advise you to see this one- it's a personal favorite. Then I am sure you will eat all the other videos she has one her youtube account. Hope you see because you will love it!

obesessing over #1 New Balance

 Eu já queria fazer uma rúbrica deste género à algum tempo, e agora que estou de férias escolares aproveitei para reorganizar o blog. Quero mudar várias coisas mas vou começar por fazer aquilo que gosto, partilhar as minha obessesões. E qual é a primeira? Ténis New Balance.
Dá para usar os ténis de uma forma desportiva e descontraida, ou mais casual para o dia-a-dia. Ao príncipio quando se começaram a ver estes ténis eu estranhei o formato, mas agora é uma das características que mais gosto nestas sapatilhas, e quanto mais estranho for, mais gosto. Há um enorme número de modelos e cores por onde escolher. Eu selecionei alguns dos modelos que mais gosto, e que me ficaram na cabeça. Espero que gostem também.

I want to share more! Every week I come across things I like and I can't stop thinking about. Now you will get to see those things here because I am going to share them with you, so you can have a taste of my obesessions. The first one is *drumb rolls*- New balance sneakers.
They go amazingly with everything, in a sporty look, or in a more casual look for everyday life. In the beggining when they first appeared in the fashion scene I though their shape was strange. It is indeed strange but I grew to like that strange shape, and now I love it. They exist in many colors and shape and I gathered a few of my favorite in a collage that you can see bellow. Hope you like them as much as I do!

The change: GFC ends

O GFC, a rede pela qual a maioria das pessoas segue os blog, vai deixar de existir. A google decidiu fechar o google reader dia 1 de junho portanto até lá muito tem de ser feito para garantir que o blog não perde um número significativo de seguidores. Eu irei desenvolver algumas redes sociais como o facebook, que já uso mas não ainda muito, e o instagram, rede de qual me tornei membro esta semana. Esta é uma péssima noticia porque apesar do blog ser recente tem a maioria dos seguidores através da google e então o tráfico diminuiria com a eleminação desta plantaforma. Contudo isso vai acontecer e eu, e todos os outros bloggers temos que deitar mãos à obra e tentar manter os blogs da maneira que são. Se querem mudar os blogs que têm to google reader para o bloglovin, eis como o fazerem AQUI. Espero que seja útil para vocês.

Google friend connect, GFC, will be useless in a couple of months since google will shut down google reader. I have already have bloglovin but from now on I will use it more often than I use it. I will also develop other social media plantforms such as facebook and instagram. I was surprised with this news and despite being a relative new blogger, I have most of my followers on GFC- which means that I won't do so well when google reader shouts down. Caras conhecidas, desconhecidas. Preto, branco, sem cor mas com vida. Eu estou apaixonado por fotografias íntimistas, retratos a preto e branco, de figuras famosas, de marcas de alta costura, de perfeitos desconhecidos apanhados pela lente de um qualquer fotografo. Eu adorava conseguir tirar fotos que captassem momentos desses, apaixonantes- que fiquem na memória, e que inspirem alguém como estas fotos me inspiraram a mim.

Familiar faces, unknown faces. Black, white, colorless but alive. I'm in love with intimate photographs, black and white portraits of famous figures, high fashion brands campaigns, also from perfect strangers caught by the lens of some photographer. I would love getting to take pictures that capture such moments, they are passionate-they live forever in our memory. I would just love to take such pictures that inspire other as much as these inspire me.

Take Notes #5: All black

Todos nós recorremos ao preto nos dias em que estamos mais em baixos, menos criativos, ou porque talvez adoramos a cor e queremos usar-la. A cor é muito fácil de conjugar mas eu acho que mesmo quando recorremos a um look total com esta cor não queremos ser aborrecidos. Para tornar o conjunto mais interresante eis o que têm que fazer, juntar várias texturas. Usem malha, usem pele, pêlo, camurça, usem todos. Esta menina é um óptimo exemplo de como manter sempre os looks totais de preto interresantes. Na esquerda temos um casaco de pele, uma camisola de malha, um saia plissada, já na direita temos um casaco de tecido, camisola de malha, saia de pele, e umas botas com duas tonalidades.

We all go for all black looks when we are feeling downer, less creactive, or just because we love them. This is a color that doesn't take much to combine but still if you keep it too simple it will easily get boring. We don't want to be boring, do we? What do you have to do? Mix different textures of black pieces. This girl above goes for black often and she always keeps me interrested. On the left she has a sweater, a plissed skirt and leader jacket. While on the right she has a jacket, sweater, leader skirt and two toned boots. So when you go for a whole black look use leader pieces, black fur, whool, different fabrics with the same color, black. Keep it interresting!

Trending on the streets

Black framed photos- Tommy Ton, All the others- Garance Dore

Todos nós sabemos que uma das coisas mais importantes associada às semanas da moda é o streetstyle. Muitos são os fotografos que se dedicam a fotografar de todos os momentos, estilos e excentrecidades que se passeiam pelas ruas na capital da moda, Nova York. Gosto especialmente da  Garance Dore pois tem sempre uma história para todos os disparos da sua camara fotográfica. Nestas fotos temos tudo o que há de mais apetecivel na moda que desfila nas ruas: roupas elegantes, grupos de amigas, modelos em modo "off-duty", excentrecidade, estilo- acima de tudo estilo. Se em alguns dos casos as roupas é que fazem as pessoas, temos aqui alguns exemplos de como a pessoa é que controla a roupa que usa. Todos podemos ser cabides só que alguns decidem não o ser, e para esses aplausos, bravo!

All of us know that one of the most important things associated with fashion week is streetstyle. Many photographers dedicate their time to shooting some hot gals who sweat style and eccentricity while walking through the the streets of New York. I have a thing for Garance Dore, she is my favorite photographer because all the shoots have their story, and we all love a good story as much as a good photo. In these photos above we have everything that makes streetstyle so tasty: stylish clothing, groups of stylish friends, models off-duty, eccentricity and style- above all- style. In some cases the clothings wear the people rather than the people wear the clothes, but this does not happen to this mates. They control what they wear, and they do it well- bravo peers!

Quando à uns posts atrás falei da Joana, dona do blog Impromptu- http://im-promptu.blogspot.pt/, não foi por acaso. Como cheguei a dizer não seria a última vez que iriam ouvir falar da mesma, e hoje o nome dela volta a animar este blog porque desta vez a ilustração é feita pela Joana, e o "modelo" fui eu. Esta foi uma das coisas mais satisfatórias que me aconteceu desde o ínicio deste blog. Envolver-me com um projecto cujo resultado é tão, tão, tão bonito. Acho que o boneco está fiel aquilo que eu sou. Acho que vou de alguma maneira tentar incorporar esta ilustração no layout do blog, ou como header ou outra coisa qualquer porque merece ser exibido. Obrigado à Joana por ter tido a paciência de fazer isto por mim!

Today is the day that this name will be once more written on this page. She made yet another illustration in which I am portrayed. I was so happy with this illustration. It must have been the best things that happen to me since the blog first started. Being in collaborations like this is what makes this personal space be more than that. I think I will somehow add this to the blog's layout because it deserves for sure. I also want to thank Joana here for the amazing work and puting up with me. Thank you Joana!

Take notes #4: Camouflage

A tendência já está por cá desde o ínicio do outono. As lojas têm excelentes peças com a estampa camuflada tanto para homem como para mulher, mas mesmo assim alguns de vós ainda estarão provavelemente reticentes. Eu gosto muito de peças deste género só que ainda não comprei nada porque são peças que usarei pouco noutras estações portanto só compro se o preço for muito baixo. Quem quiser, goster e achar que até irá usar mais do que eu, compre. Em cima temos dois exemplos de como conjugar, é pegar nas calças, no casaco, o que for e juntar preto, branco e mais uns neutros que dessa maneira temos um conjunto muito homogeneo. Contudo se quiserem ser mais arriscados adicionem alguma cor, como uma camisola vermelha a umas calças camufladas, fica bem e sempre é mais fora do comum. 

This trend as been here since the beggining of the season. The stores all have pieces with the camouflage print both for man and woman, but still many of you are still not sure of how to pair your camo pieces. The problem with the trend prints is that you rarely ever wear them out of the season you buy them, so if you want to buy something like this, buy it with a big discount. That is what I will do for sure. Above we have to good examples of how to use camouflage pants. The equasion is easy, camo, white, black and a bunch of other neutrals. If you want to stand out to show that you are indeed stylish add a bright red sweater instead. It's always a bit more different.

Impromptu

A Joana é uma artista formidável que é dona do blog Impromptu. Ela tem desenvolvido um projecto muito interessante no blog dela com ilustrações vectoriais e bloggers. Ela começou o "Blogger Series" à um mês com ilustrações das suas bloggers preferidas. Ache a ideia bestial e os desenhos são muito engraçados. São ilustrações mais simplistas do que as "normais" e essa estética agrada-me. Estas duas ilustrações são as minhas duas preferidas do projecto. Vocês ainda verão mais acerca deste projecto aqui mas sigam a Joana para ter as notícias em primeira mão

Joana is a fantastic portuguese artist who owns Impromptu. She has been doing this amazing project with vectorial illustrations and bloggers. She started the "Blogger Series" one month ago by drawing her favorite blogger. I though the idea was great and the drawing were funny in the best way possibel. This  illustrations are more clean and simple than "normal" and this aesthetic really pleases me. Above there are two of my favorite illustrations from this project. It's not the last time you will hear from it, I promise, but in the meanwhile follow Joana to have the news first hand.

This is a very casual first day look. It's for Dscuento's contest. I kept myself on the required budget of 250 euros. I went

 for a brown pair of chinos, they are very simple and of a extremely good quality. Then I went with a more untradicional

 boat shoes from my favorite sneakers brand, vans. They were on sales so I recommend you check them out. I knew that 

I wanted to have a shirt underneath a jersey and I found this shirt that has an amazing pattern that spices up the look just 

fine. It is from Quiksilver. Finally to top it off in a good way I choose a plain color to go over the red squared shirt. The

jersey is from decathlon and can be wore with almost anything.
