My own vectorial illustration

Quando à uns posts atrás falei da Joana, dona do blog Impromptu- http://im-promptu.blogspot.pt/, não foi por acaso. Como cheguei a dizer não seria a última vez que iriam ouvir falar da mesma, e hoje o nome dela volta a animar este blog porque desta vez a ilustração é feita pela Joana, e o "modelo" fui eu. Esta foi uma das coisas mais satisfatórias que me aconteceu desde o ínicio deste blog. Envolver-me com um projecto cujo resultado é tão, tão, tão bonito. Acho que o boneco está fiel aquilo que eu sou. Acho que vou de alguma maneira tentar incorporar esta ilustração no layout do blog, ou como header ou outra coisa qualquer porque merece ser exibido. Obrigado à Joana por ter tido a paciência de fazer isto por mim!

Remenber the amazing artist, Joana, owner of the Impromptu blog- http://im-promptu.blogspot.pt/. I told you on that post that you would hear more from her here on the blog. Today is the day that this name will be once more written on this page. She made yet another illustration in which I am portrayed. I was so happy with this illustration. It must have been the best things that happen to me since the blog first started. Being in collaborations like this is what makes this personal space be more than that. I think I will somehow add this to the blog's layout because it deserves for sure. I also want to thank Joana here for the amazing work and puting up with me. Thank you Joana!

Take notes #4: Camouflage

A tendência já está por cá desde o ínicio do outono. As lojas têm excelentes peças com a estampa camuflada tanto para homem como para mulher, mas mesmo assim alguns de vós ainda estarão provavelemente reticentes. Eu gosto muito de peças deste género só que ainda não comprei nada porque são peças que usarei pouco noutras estações portanto só compro se o preço for muito baixo. Quem quiser, goster e achar que até irá usar mais do que eu, compre. Em cima temos dois exemplos de como conjugar, é pegar nas calças, no casaco, o que for e juntar preto, branco e mais uns neutros que dessa maneira temos um conjunto muito homogeneo. Contudo se quiserem ser mais arriscados adicionem alguma cor, como uma camisola vermelha a umas calças camufladas, fica bem e sempre é mais fora do comum. 

This trend as been here since the beggining of the season. The stores all have pieces with the camouflage print both for man and woman, but still many of you are still not sure of how to pair your camo pieces. The problem with the trend prints is that you rarely ever wear them out of the season you buy them, so if you want to buy something like this, buy it with a big discount. That is what I will do for sure. Above we have to good examples of how to use camouflage pants. The equasion is easy, camo, white, black and a bunch of other neutrals. If you want to stand out to show that you are indeed stylish add a bright red sweater instead. It's always a bit more different.

Impromptu

A Joana é uma artista formidável que é dona do blog Impromptu. Ela tem desenvolvido um projecto muito interessante no blog dela com ilustrações vectoriais e bloggers. Ela começou o "Blogger Series" à um mês com ilustrações das suas bloggers preferidas. Ache a ideia bestial e os desenhos são muito engraçados. São ilustrações mais simplistas do que as "normais" e essa estética agrada-me. Estas duas ilustrações são as minhas duas preferidas do projecto. Joana is a fantastic portuguese artist who owns Impromptu. She has been doing this amazing project with vectorial illustrations and bloggers. She started the "Blogger Series" one month ago by drawing her favorite blogger. I though the idea was great and the drawing were funny in the best way possibel. This  illustrations are more clean and simple than "normal" and this aesthetic really pleases me. Above there are two of my favorite illustrations from this project. It's not the last time you will hear from it, I promise, but in the meanwhile follow Joana to have the news first hand.

Look: First Date

This is a very casual first day look. It's for Dscuento's contest. I kept myself on the required budget of 250 euros. I went

 for a brown pair of chinos, they are very simple and of a extremely good quality. Then I went with a more untradicional

 boat shoes from my favorite sneakers brand, vans. They were on sales so I recommend you check them out. I knew that 

I wanted to have a shirt underneath a jersey and I found this shirt that has an amazing pattern that spices up the look just 

fine. It is from Quiksilver. Finally to top it off in a good way I choose a plain color to go over the red squared shirt. The

jersey is from decathlon and can be wore with almost anything.

Take Notes #3

Alguns homens ainda não sabem muito bem como conjugar uma camisa de ganga. Pois mas o receio de más combinações fica por aqui. No lookbook.nu há imensos rapaz que fazem óptimas opções a conjugar camisas de ganga. O meu conselho é que não usem com calças do mesmo tecido ou pelo menos que se usarem com calças de ganga usem calças de um tom muito diferente da camisa e deixem a camisa aberta. Contudo eu prefiro usar com chinos. Nas imagens temos em ambos os casos chinos, pretos e castanhos. Contudo numa a camisa é usada aberta em cima de uma t-shirt básica e na outra é usada fechada com uma camisola da cor sensação da estação. Os sapatos são semelhantes. Se optarem por um look mais informal como o da direita um par de ténis também fica bem. Eu normalmente escolho uma destas duas opções e recomendo.

Many man don't yet know who to wear a denim shirt on a regular basis. Fear no more 'cause I am here to help. You can always search lookbook.nu for a lot more inspiration. My advice is not to wear it with jeans but if you do try to choose the jeans on a very different shade from the shirt- also wear the shirt opened with jeans. On this collage we have two very good examples of how to wear denim shirt, one is very casual and the other one is a bit more elegant. The shoes on both are very similar but if you are going for casual you may wear some sneakers aswell. They also went with chinos, and this is also what I go for when I wear denim shirts- one in black and another in brow. Then on the left we have a ox blood sweater over the shirt, and on the right the shirt is opened over a basic t-shirt. These are the ways to go. They are both approved!
